Greetings:
I am seeking your advise weather HotSpots would be suitable for our website.
I am working with a Diocese who recently merged all of its churches from 128
to 64. We want to create a directory to be able to locate each newly configured
church with contact information about each church.

It seems to me HotSpots could be the solution. But, I wanted to pass it by you first.

Thanks in advance,
Rev. Bradley

Greetings Rev. Bradley,
Please have a look at the demo site: demo.compojoom.com/hotspots

In the first category you can see 100+ locations.

In your case - it will look nearly the same. Trough the backend you will have to enter the addresses, you can use the short/long description to add contact information, opening hours, you can also add a picture of the churches.
People will be able to see the churches on the map and to use the direction function to find the way to this location for example.

You can also create a second category - schools or hospitals that are sponsored by your church... (just as an idea).

Yes, I definitely think that you can use hotspots for this.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Thanks Daniel.

Is there a component that is placed on the homepage that people can click on and access the HotSpots(Church Directory)?

Thanks Again,
Rev. Bradley

Right now you will need to create a menu item that points to the locations.

But here is an idea. Once you are ready with the directory - you can create a screenshot of it, re-size it and then publish a custom html module on your frontpage -> you can add some small description there link the image -> people will click on it and they will go to your map?

Kind regards,
Daniel
