TOPIC: Importing from jomcomment from 1.5 to 1.7

Hi there,

I searched the forum but couldn't find an answer to my question.

I have a new active 1.7 site and migrated content from my old 1.5. site (different domains, different database) with SPupgrade.

On the old 1.5. site I had Azruls JomComment and I like to migrate the comments to the new 1.7 site.

Is that possible with Compojoom?

Do I have to save the old comment-database-table in my new database in order to import the comments? Would that be easy to do for a non-expert?

Does Compojoom provide an export tool?

We have an import tool, that you can use to import the comments. The thing is - the db tables for jomcomment should be in your joomla 1.7 database.

So, if your jomcomment tables are no in your 1.7 database, use phpmyadmin, export the jomcomment tables and import them in the new one. Also - the jomcomment tables should have the same prefix as your new 1.7 site.
