havent had any problems installing extensions until hotspot. i even tried intstalling on a fresh joomla install with the same error

Hey David,
I'm sorry to hear that you have problems.

Now the error message is strange. The last line - cannot find Joomla xml setup file??? What joomla version is this? Maybe the zip file that you downloaded got somehow corrupted? Try downloading it again?

If you are still not able to install after that I would like to have a look at your site. Please use the contact us button at the bottom and give me admin access + ftp access.
