After installation, I'm finding that going to the Configuration page leads to a blank page. Please advise.

Hey Emilio,
Which component are we talking about CompojoomComment?

Did you upgrade from a previous version?(did you follow the update instructions?) A little bit more information would be necessary t ohelp you with that issue.

Daniel

My Apologies. Here's what I did:

I downloaded hotspots-2.0.5-pro.zip, tried to install through the Extension Manager, I received this error:

JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path: /var/www/vhosts/mysolutions.com/httpdocs/projects/myproject/tmp/install_4e8ef79b39e5e
JFolder: :folder: Path is not a folder. Path: /var/www/vhosts/mysolutions.com/httpdocs/projects/myproject/tmp/install_4e8ef79b39e5e
JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path: /var/www/vhosts/mysolutions.com/httpdocs/projects/myproject/tmp/install_4e8ef79b39e5e
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file

With no luck, I then tried to install com_hotspots094d.zip, and was able to install it successfully. However, when I go to the configuration page, add an API Key, Save it, then I get a 500 error.

I made sure to make the components/com_hotspots directory writable

I'm running on Joomla 1.7

Thanks in advance

Hey Emilio,
0.94 is not compatible with joomla 1.7. So please uninstall it and let us get back to trying to install 2.0.
The problem that you show is very common for the joomla world:

https://encrypted.google.com/#sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&site=&source=hp&q=JFolder:+%3Afiles%3A+Path+is+not+a+folder.+Path%3A&pbx=1&oq=JFolder:+%3Afiles%3A+Path+is+not+a+folder.+Path%3A&aq=f&aqi=g2&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=1078l1078l0l1560l1l1l0l0l0l0l335l335l3-1l1l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.,cf.osb&fp=3daddf18582ac338&biw=1753&bih=1084

You could try to locally unzip the package and upload it to the joomla's temp directory. Then point the installer to the hotspots installation directory and click install.

If you still can't manage to install it, then please provide me with super admin access + ftp + phpmyadmin and I'll try to manually install it for you.

Cheers,
Daniel
