TOPIC: Some questions before buy Hotspots

Hi,

Before I buy Hotspots, please let me know:

1. Can I center the map on the location of a visitor (unregistered user in Jomsocial) and show active spots of other registered users around that visitor?.

2. Can I display an icon that represents the position of the visitor on the map?.

3. Can I have markers clustering for maps with large amount of markers? (multiple Jomsocial registered users in the same point of the map).

4. I currently use another component for Joomla! that does not focus correctly on the map position of the visitor .
With "HTML5 Geolocation" centers the map at least 3 kilometers away from the correct position of the visitor.

With "IP address location" (through "hostip.info ") centers the position of some visitors in the middle of the ocean.

¿Hotspots also have these problems?.

Hotspots doesn't have those problems! but hotspots also doesn't have the features you are looking for.

1. No you can't - currently there are just 2 option to center the map - by a standard geographic location - such as a city or marker bounds - the map will be centered over all markers.

2. No, there is no such feature.

3. No, but we are actually working on this for the next version

4. Hotspots uses HTML5 geolocation for the "submit hotspots" screen - notice that HTML5 geolocation is not perfect. Sometimes it will find out your exact location, sometimes it can show you that you are 3km far away... So this is not a problem with the extension you use, but with the HTML5 geolocation feature as such...

So, I suppose that I won't be able to greet you as a new customer, because we don't have the features that you look for, but anyway - have a nice day

While currently Hotspot not cover my actual needs, I'll still in mind this module.
