TOPIC: Duplicate emails from Akeeba Backup

Hi

I have some sites and one of them is using CMandrill to send e-mails.
It works great for all emails except for the Akeeba backup.
I have set up a backup to send a dump of the database to a specified emailadress and the mail is sent twice. One is sent via Mandrill and the other directly from the site.
The other sites i have use Akeeba backup in the same way (withour CMandrill) and onlu one mail is recieved.'
I have asked Akeeba backup and they had this answer:

I just inspected the code, and we are using Joomla built-in mailer function.
Since we're using the official code and API of Joomla, I suspect the problem relies inside CMandril.

How can i get rid of the extra email ?

We use akeeba backup as well and we don't get 2 emails from it.

However I'm not sure that I follow - you send a dump of the database per email?
I only get messages that the backup is complete.

Yes, i have made a backup profile that makes only a backup of the database. And the post-processing is set to send it to an e-mailadress.
This way i have a backup of the database on a gmail account, that is "far away" from the site server.

I have disabled the emails about the completion, so i don't know if they would arrive 2 times as well, but i could try that...

I just tested again
The mail telling me the backup is complete only arrives 1 time.
It is only the email containing the backup that arrives twice.
