Would it be possible to have another option on where to show the custom fields on the event detail page? Have a box displayed in the same style as the other boxes with all the custom fields neatly inside.

Also could you give the option to assign a Glyphicons to each custom field? Make it blend with the rest of the page.

thanks Pete

Hi Pete,

added it to the wishlist. You can already use glyphicons (not sure on label) just use the html markup: <i class="glyphicon glyphicon-xy"></i>

Do you think this wold be possible to have another box containing all the custom fields so it matches the information and organizer boxes style? Think it would make the custom fields look part of the event page... thanks Pete

Sorry overread your previous question.. Answering to old topics is sometimes hard to notice :/

Have it still on the wishlist. It would be only possible for bootstrap 3 template though.. On a academy and modern there are is no space :/ (at least not right, just below)

Okay i see what i can do to make you happy ;) (But give me some time, when you are in a hurry with that we can also make you quote on custom dev).

One last question, should it show all Custom fields for the event or should it be a new position to choose.

Sorry Yves, missed your reply!

In answer to your question, I think the individual custom fields should go into this new box if you select the position for a field. That way you can mix it up if you choose. I guess when you select the position for this new box, that is when the box itself is shown - if no custom fields for this new position are selected, then the box is hidden. Please drop me an email with costs, so I can make a decision on whether to speed this option up.

Also, there is something else I'm thinking of for some custom work. At this stage need to know if possible and then can talk about the finer detail and costs. Would like the Organiser area of Matukio to link with the Joomla users table more. I'm starting to capture a variety of custom fields for my users that contain more information about them (we are a cycling site, so capture things like fitness, age range, average distances, etc...) all of this is captured during registration or when a user updates their profile. I use another extension to capture this - but all that does (from what I can see) is store the additional entries into another table and links back to users via the user ID. I'm looking to bring all the information out into Matukio, so when someone clicks on the link to see all about the Organiser, it shows this information. I guess you already have a link to the Joomla users table as you use the email address, so in my simple mind it sounds really simple! :-) Please let me know what you think - maybe drop me an email?

Cheers Pete

Hey Peter,

What extension are you using? Joomla comes with the user profile fields. The data is stored in the #__user_profile table. You have user_id, key, value.

We have the option to preaalocate the booking fields with data - we take the data from the #__user_profile table. We could do something similar for the organisers as well. We'll have to find out what exactly your use case is.

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel - Sorry late reply, been away for a few days.

I use https://www.easy-profile.com/ to extend the user profile and have custom additional fields in my user's profiles. It also gives me social logins too. From what I can see it works by storing all the additional field data in a separate table and links the user via the id field. Rather than you burning time now looking at this, let me put something detailed together for exactly what I need and forward that over. You can then let me know if what I want is technically possible and how much custom code time is required, costs, supportable going forward, etc..

What about the custom fields box custom work, is that one going to be possible?

If you want to move this conversation to email, use the email associated with my compojoom account.

cheers Pete
