TOPIC: More filter options

Hi!

This is what we want to do. We have a portal for sports tournaments.

1. An organizer submits an event (in this case tournaments) with category (soccer, icehockey) and sex (boys, girls) age groups (senior, junior, 98, 99 etc
2. A coach that searches for a tournament should be able to filter on this. For example: A soccer tournament for boys that are born 99. Sex and Age groups should be tags that one could filter on in the menu to the left (like locations, dates etc)

But if a tournamnent has more that on age groups, like 98 AND 99. Then it should appear with both the filter 98 and 99 when he searches on the frontpage.

Let's say a coach want to register for the 99 age group. Can we add that selected tag to the form? Or must he write in a text field what age group(s) he want to register for?

Hi,

with Matukio 5.3 or Matukio 6 you can use tags for that (like categories - but these allow multiple tags / categories per event). Event specific fields will probably (at least in 5.2) only one value.

Its enough if we can have
- Category (soccer, icehockey, basket etc)
- Subcategory (senior, junior, P01 etc)

So a user can filter on:

- Soccer events for Juniors
- Icehockey events for P01
- etc

And that will be ver 5.2?
