TOPIC: Reminder mail

I wonder if it's possible to add an automatic reminder option by e-mail.
For example that a copy of the registrationmail is send again at x days before the event starts.

Is it possible to add this feature before august of this year?
I'm using Matukio for my soccer club and the members keep asking for a reminder.
It would be very helpfull if it could be added before the new soccer season starts (in august 2013).

I think more important would be a reminder mail to Yves to roll out the ready version 2.2. and for further versions, schedulded by day + 1 of his annoucements.
We all are waiting for promised basic functions for a long time.

Before August is almost impossible. I understand that. Perhaps in august is an option.

Maybe it's possible to add a button which sends a reminder mail after adding a numer of days before the event.
For example: If you enter a 7, every event whitin a week wil have a reminder mail.

This function would be really great. Currently I am using ms-access application to do this for me.

From my point of view it should be a simple way of using it. Click in an event on bookings and the I can click on "Contact Part." where maybe I can select a template like "Reminder" or "Additional Information", or "Cancellation" etc.

still not sure how to implement this, you would like i said before some sort of cronjob - which actually needs some handwork within the server. The templates idea for contacting the participants sounds nice, added it to the TODO-List for a later version. Actually when you cancel an event there is an E-Mail send to all participants to inform them about

It's actually right that what I wrote in the German topic "Teilnehmer kontaktieren".
From my point of view it would be enough to send them manually. Just a view text templates behind the subject frame (drop-down), like i.e. "Reminder" or "Additional Information" or "Cancellation" or "Schedule change".

Regarding the Reminder. I attached some screen shots from my current solution, which is out of a MS-Access. Maybe you can develope something similar.

What is the status of this item?
It's a year and nine months ago since I started this topic and there was some discussion.
I can live with the option to manually send a reminder by selecting one or more events in the events view and then pushing a button "Send reminder mail".
The text of the reminder mail could be a template.

Hope to have this feature added before august this year.

as i said 4 month ago this is going to need a cronjob, the problem is not coding that, but it is not very easy for you to install.. That's the reason there is currently no nice solution, but i have it on my todo-list, going to focus on that after 3.1 stable release.
