In the Seminar component it is possible to give in at what moment events are not displayed anymore: start, end or closing date.

Is it possible in Matukio to choose for 'Keeping displayd', so people can have a clear view which kind of events have taken place in the past. (It can be related to the published status of an event: if its too old you simply depublish the event and it isn't listed anymore).

Like to hear from you.
Kind regards,

Tim Hoogland

Hi Tim,

currently Matukio has the same options for ending event display like Seminar.

But i added your feature request to our todo list and i try to integrate it in one of the next versions.

Best regards,

Yves Hoppe

Hi Yves,

That's very nice. My customer will be very glad if that's realised.

She wants to add another option: could it be possible to have different prices for the same event. For instance: children or older people (65+) get a reduction on the normal price? In this example it should be possible to mention two different groups and the two related prices.

Kind regards,

Hi Tim,

interesting idea, i added it to the feature request list. But before we can implement this, we have to finish some other features (like payment management, better participant management etc.), so it will take some time until we can adress this.

Best regards,

Yves

Hi Flex,

with the next version you will be able to create a menu link to the eventlist, allowing to set a category and some other options.

Best regards,

Yves

Hello Yves,

I saw a new release in the JED and I wondered if my suggestions are adopted in this release. If not, can you tell me when these options are available?

Thanks in advance.

Tim Hoogland.

Hi Tim,

sorry both of your suggestions (different prices for one event and keeping ended events displayed) haven't made it into this release. But they are both still very high on my Todo-List.

The second one, is going to be integrated into the next version, already wrote most code for it. The first one is a bit more complicated and is going to take a some more time.

Best regards,

Yves

Another release is announced on the JED-list.
I assume one of my wishes is now available?
Is it an idea to publish releasenotes somewhere on your site.
Than you don't have to reply to all these kind of questions?

Kind regards,

Tim Hoogland.

Hi Tim,

this was as stated in the release notes only a very extensive bugfix update. There are not many new features in it (Except general improvements and some other things). Normally we are publishing bigger changelogs :)

Best regards,

Yves

I tried to use this menu "upcoming event" and like the look very much ... but no matter what number I put in for category filter it always shows all events - :S and the same issue I have got with number of events and title. It has no effect at all.

(using latest version 2.1.1)

Is this an bug or do I miss some settings?

No, unfortunately this is a bug in the view.html.php. Already fixed this for the next version.

If you are in a hurry you could edit (components/com_matukio/views/upcomingevents/view.html.php):

Replace

$menuitemid = JRequest::getInt( 'catid' );

with

$menuitemid = JRequest::getInt( 'Itemid' );

I think i am going to release a second bugfix release 2.1.2 in the next days, fixing this and some other small bugs.

Best regards,

Yves
