TOPIC: Upcoming Events: wrong category/alias in URLs

Hi,

I created a menu with items of "Matukio event overview (mandatory)" with links for each category I created before. If Items are shown from within this menu and the "upcoming events"-module is shown as well, the links to the single events contain the right URLs with correct aliases obviously taken from the menu-title-aliases by the category I chose for the module.
After that I created another menu with normal joomla-articles . If I show the "upcoming events"-module when those articles are displayed, the links always are containing only the first alias out of the event-overview-menu - no matter which category is chosen for the upcoming events module. The links work, though but other modules like showing a top-picture by category become confused and show wrong contents. I have to show some "upcoming-events"-modules outside the event-overview menu items. How can I force the correct URLs to be used within the links?

Hi Christian,

sorry for the late response. That's complicated, the joomla routing is focused on one main entry for the SEF-URLs. One reason is to avoid duplicate content. So the best solution is probably to create a generic menu item which you can use as base url for all events.

no matter, this is not too urgent . The point I do not understand at this moment is how to create that generic menu item in a way that it works for me. Maybe we could have a look at the site: www.imstrom.de
If you click the point 'Kursbuchung' in the upper Menu you'll see the single events on the left panel have other URLs as if you choose the same kind of events from the top menu underneath.
