Hi,

This is interesting.

Our server's time zone is GMT -5. If I configure the default start time for new events in Matukio to 08:30:00, all new events default to 03:30:00 (5 hours earlier) in practice. In order for new events to default properly for a 8:30AM start time, I have to configure the Matukio default configuration to start at 13:30. Just FYI.

Hi Allen,

Matukio calculates the time based on various settings - check your table #__matukio - the times have to be saved in UTC +0 / GMT in there:

- Server time and timezone setting (time should be on unix / linux servers in UTC / GMT +0)
- PHP timezone setting
- Joomla timezone setting
- User profile timezone setting

These sometimes collide - default start time should normally ignore time zones (and just inserted there like a text).

Kind regards,

Yves

Hi,

Our server, PHP, and Joomla timezones are all set to the same "New York", which is GMT-5. When I download an ICS file, the start and end times are different from what is published on the site ( www.certifiedinfosec.com/events ). How do I fix this?
