TOPIC: 5.0.6 frontend event creation

Just installed 5.0.6 and now the event creation in frontend claims that I have not filled all *required fields. Compared to backend creation, I noticed that the Organizer field is missing from frontend first page. That's required in the backend so I'd guess this is what makes the creation fail? I'm not 100% sure if the field was there before the update..

To confirm my problem I made a clean Joomla install with 5.0.6 and it resulted missing the field.

But in the backend it automatically has current logged-in user as organizer. It does not do that in the frontend without the field? Anyway, I'd prefer the field to be in the frontend as well.

The publisher field is hidden in the frontend and that's wanted like that - because in the frontend organizers normally create only their own events and should not choose somebody else (so the publisher is set to the current logged in joomla user). That can't be the reason for that error.

But in the backend it automatically has current logged-in user as organizer. It does not do that in the frontend without the field? Anyway, I'd prefer the field to be in the frontend as well.

In the backend you choose the publisher normally (first page):

You can allow editing all events for organizers in the Matukio configuration:

Hi,

I set the event editing allowed and now I can set different organizers in the frontend too. Great.

The original problem, i.e. saving the created event fails still. Any clue why? I noticed this after updating a live site Matukio and now the creation does not work. Gladly I can restore the backup taken before updating.. Then I double checked the problem by installing a clean Joomla 3.3.6 and Matukio 5.0.6 and yes, it's there.

Hi Miika,

just update to Matukio 5.0.8 - there was an bug in Matukio 5.0.6 (only in this one) which could break the form html in the frontend.
