Not sure if this is a bug or not.
Version: 5.0.0
Joomla 2.5.27

When using the Bootstrap theme, the Event Organizer gets his/her image placed on the Event frontend.
This is nice...
However, the template wants to pull the image file from the root of the site, rather than some image/matukio or something.
I am just thinking that it is not to smart to have these kind of image files placed directly on the root.
I am not sure if this is an oversight, intentional or what.

Hi Nils,

Matukio 5 uses the Joomla image upload (com_media), so there is no /images/matukio anymore - but always the full path to the image. Just select in the organizer edit and it should work properly.

Kind regards,

Yves

That doesn't seem to work for me.
I am on three different sites, all on different servers.
I will see if I can figure it out. Thank you.

Hmm that's weird - what's not working for you? The image select?

Should look like that in the backend:

awesomescreenshot.com/02c3muq4ba

With image: awesomescreenshot.com/0113muqe25

I don't understand how to get an Avatar into that top-left field (backend).
But that is NOT critical or needed.

The frontend is now fixed, once I saw your way of getting that placed.

Just a thought following this... other systems (HWD-MediaShare, Comments etc etc), integrate themselves to Social stuff, like CB, JomSocial etc.
Wouldn't it be an idea that these Avatars do the same?
Sorry for being stupid, but perhaps they do somehow... I just haven't seen it.

You click on select? If you are in 2.5 you have to empty the field (with the button) before.

Kind regards,

Yves

:( omg you answered... I don't understand what you are trying to say.
Do you perhaps have a series of screengrabs to point out what you mean?
I don't see any "select" button... which tells me I am probably not looking at the correct spot.
Also "empty field"? Hehe, what field?

Sorry, I KNOW I am supposed to be miles smarter than this, but I am just not understanding it...

Okay i am also getting confused

About which image are we talking? Screenshot? ;)

If we are talking about the welcome (left) image in the backend (this? awesomescreenshot.com/0e53n33na3 ), that's powered by Gravatar (gravatar.com). Matukio automatically tries to get this image from Gravatar based on the Joomla users email.

Cheers,

Yves

Yepp, that's the image I am referring to.
Yes, I saw it is trying to get an image from Gravatar.
But... on my different sites, I use local E-mail accounts for each, rather than just one for all.
Is there anyway to get that spot to grab an internal image?
It is truly not a real issue, just my ego wants to see my face...

I can perhaps alter the code a bit... but that will get overridden with each update...

Hmm you could register each local email address at gravatar (you can have multiple emails in one account there). And sure you could change the code, but as you said this will get overridden each time you update the library (which hotspots, matukio etc. share).

libraries/compojoom/html/ctemplate.php

get_gravatar function just return the image you want.

Kind regards,

Yves
