TOPIC: Data is lost when mandatory field not filled

Hi,

I am a webmaster for a scuba diving club and we used Seminar for events registration until recently.
I have now upgraded our website to Joomla version 2.5.17 and I have recently purchased and installed version 3.0.3 of Matukio with Dutch language files.

I have encountered some annoying bugs while using Matukio.
When I enter a new event and I forget to enter data in some mandatory field or I use an ID that is already in use, the system will not retain the information when I save.
Instead I get an error message saying that the event was not saved and all fields are blanked out.
So I have to start all over again.

Hi Erik,

sounds like a JavaScript problem - normally all fields are validated with the Joomla Validator before sending the form (not filled in forms are marked red and the event should not save):

Are you using the default Joomla 2.5 administrator template? Or maybe there are some plugins preventing the validation from working properly.

Hmm hard to say then - maybe some plugin - without access i can just guess.
