Hi, i am a beginner in this.
I have installed matukio-2.2.3 in a Joomla! 2.5.6.
When I try to make my first event (after having created a category) I get this report:

DB-funksjon mislyktes med feilnummer 1054 Unknown column 'hot_event' in 'field list' SQL=INSERT INTO `a7ei4_matukio`

Why, an how do I fix it?
Best regards

Hi,

was it a fresh installation or did you update from another one?

This sounds like the database has not been updated correctly.

Hi, I had an old version on my pc, but tried to uninstall it and then reinstall. It may sound straight out that there is an error in the database. Can I make correction in the database from joomla?

Hi,

the tables are not deleted when you uninstall Matukio (as a security feature) - hmm there are some extensions for database access through Joomla.. Did your provider not provide a tool for that? When you don't have any old events just delete all #__matukio* tables and reinstall, then it should work for you.

OK. When I uninstalled I was told that the tables were not uninstalled. I have to figure it out and then try to install again.
Thank you for your help.

Hi, I have been trying to figure out how I get rid of the old files, but not sure where I can find them. Do I enter the sql database with the supplier, or will they be on the ftp server?

No the database is not reachable through the ftp server. Normally your provider should supply some database management tool (probably phpmyadmin).
