TOPIC: V2.1.1 Search box

Hi Yves,

I searched the forum but could not find anything related to this.

The search box within Matukio does not function. Is this a known bug? How can we fix this?
If I enter a search URL like:it does return what I am looking for.

Hmm strange. Just tried at my local machine there it is working fine. Link for a search looks like this (SEF):

index.php/matukio-test/eventlist/0/0/testsearch/10

search=testsearch in this example.

Just tried the same on the demo page and there it is also not working, going to investigate a bit further, seems to be clearly a routing issue (again..)

Inputting a string in the Matukio search box and pressing enter does not perform a search. It just reloads the current page it looks like.

I just tested this on a clean Joomla install with the default template and only Matukio installed, but the error persists.

The url you describe does not appear. It just defaults back to the index.php/matukio url.

Is it somehow possible to remove the Search box?

Hmm you could just set it in the CSS of your template to display: none. So just add #search_field {display: none;} and the same for the button into your css. Another way is to edit the source code of components/com_matukio/views/eventlist/tmpl/default.php and remove the whole td from it.

Hi,
Same problem with our site (again) ... Neither the search box, nor the choose category works. Nothing happens.
We have almost 60 courses, and it starts to be a little bit confusing to find a course.

Any fix for this?

Hmm this should be fixed for sometime. Search Box since 2.1.2. Do you have a menu link (can be hidden) to the eventlist overview, as stated in the release notes?

hmm you are still using an old version there, please update it to the current 2.1.2.

Looks like some javascript incompatibility again, perhaps JQuery again (more then 30 js files are loaded). Let's go on talking about this on Skype, this is going to be a bit more complex.
