General comments
Love the new "Academy" layout - very slick. However, all 3 layouts suffer from serious styling issues when the sheet BG is transparent and the page BG is dark. I have a dark page BG and transparent sheet. So I have elected to use white text. This causes all manner of grief all over. The Bootstrap layout is unusable without major CSS hacking for instance.

Is different/discount pricing going to make the cut in this version? $40 for first ticket, then $36 for each ticket after for example?

Buttons are strangely colored - no idea where that's coming from.
Month shows a strange year after it.
Day header (mine should still show color #ff0000 unless it's changed) needs to be able to be styled easier. Maybe a styles page in the backend for some of the more obviously needed to be changed items?
Events within each day cell.
- The wording just seems to disappear off to the right rather than wrapping. Currently only shows about 19 characters and needs to have more - 3-4 lines of text.
- I had requested an image in the cell. Is this being implemented? I see no way of adding at this time.
The CSS for the BG of the day cells is coming from the alternate rows BG in tables. That's OK once I realized where it was from. What are the less transparent white bars running left to right under the dates? They don't look good.
There's no highlighting for "today".
"Tooltip" popup when mousing over an event. I Like this, but it should be alb e to be turned off or on in the backend. Ability to change BG color (the pale yellow won't suit every template). When the date is toward the month end, and the calendar is the whole page, the popup runs off the bottom of the page so the bottom is unviewable.

What does the "More" button do (above the map beside "Contact:)? Right now it does nothing.
Because of the transparent BG mentioned, the ticket quantity dropdown has "hidden" numbers as it's white on white.
Why does the user name appear above the "More" and "Contact" buttons? I didn't notice a way to turn this off in the backend.
I really like the price/date box towards the top right. What is the $40.00 - $40.00? A ticket price range? It's confusing. The time directly underneath it is formatted wrong. Why does the end time drop down a line rather than running on from the start time?
The word "SHARE" appears above the map to the left but does nothing. Confusing - is this another feature coming?

Date/time under event name is in a hard to read color. Cannot find where this is being set.
Radio buttons
- Should be able to be stacked vertically - horizontally looks bad
- I know you said it was a PHP thing, but the underscores need to go. No other form component I've used has this issue.
Work through a signup. At the last screen prior to paying there's 2 buttons at the bottom. The right hand one says "Paid Booking". This should be "Pay for Booking", "Make Booking", "Pay Now" or something. Paid booking doesn't make sense.

That's all for now. Will play some more and send anything else I find.

Just noticed something else. All the front end reporting which used to be available on the event details page has disappeared. This is something else that's critical to my client (should be to anyone who cares about their business). Is this just turned off during development or has it been removed?

EDIT TO ABOVE: Maybe I've just forgotten, but I thought these buttons were available on the Event Details page when logged in a an admin on the front end. However, I have discovered them on the "Event List" view when logged in.

I did figure out how to do the "discount" for 2 or more tickets that I needed. Unfortunately I can't figure out how I did it! :oops: Somehow I have the first ticket set at $40 and subsequest tickets (by adding a guest) come in at $36. But I can't find the settin g made to do it. Thought it was additional fees but don't see anything set there.

Adding events is broken. I'm trying to add an event and, once I get to adding the data, no matter whether I click Save or Save & Close, I get kicked out of the event entry screen back to the "Enter a new event" screen. AS shown in the image, it claims the new event is successfully saved, but also says I didn't fill in all the field.s. So the logic is not checking if everything is complete before kicking the user out. ALL work is lost; the event is NOT saved.

I figured out which field I was entering anything for and saved (a 3rd or 4th time) and it saved but gave me this error " 42 DB function reports no errors."

On the Simple Event entry form, under the icon for selecting the calendar for the start date are the letters "empl" and the calendar icons do not work - nothing happens when you click them.

The location dropdown doesn't show the place name, only the address. It needs the place name as well.

Neither the drag and drop image, nor upload via button work - no image is uploaded.

answered most questions already via mail. So this is just a follow up for the open ones / the rest. Thanks for your feedback!

Hmm the alpha version is not for testing CSS. On a general note this is never the job of Matukio Events. We try to keep the footprint on css as low as possible. So text, colors etc. is mostly not defined by Matukio (when then by default bootstrap we use), but by your template. As every template is different and does other stuff we can't accomplish the same look / fitting style on everyone. We test with protostar template (Joomla default) and templates of some other template clubs. But after that it gets ugly ;)

Because of that we don't even provide support for CSS problems (see support policy.. But we try nonetheless to help you as good as possible even it takes time).

Not sure on this. There is a linear setting already integrated for that (e.g. x % discount more per seat), but i am not happy with it. It's not what most users want.. I also took a look at other extensions / event sites how they are accomplishing it and i didn't find a single satisfying solution.. But a more flexible one would take 10s of hours of work, so maybe we stick to the easy solution...

This is still a known issue.. The short description is not checked by the validation.. As this is an editor the normal ways does not work.. This is going to be fixed with the final version though.

This is also your template or a plugin. Either css is broken or the whole javascript. The calendar icons are provided by joomla not by us we just use them -> So default css. Removed the empl.

Hi Yves

Please see my email of 23rd March. I tested the latest version on it's own. NOTHING else installed on a virgin installation of 3.5.0 using Protostar, and I encountered all of the same problems, so it's not my particular install, nor my template causing the issues.
