Good afternoon, Yves,
We are currently using version 5.2.5. We are trying to limit the number of bookings to 1 per event. I've seen the information in a previous post about setting the Max participants per booking to 1 on each event, and in the settings have the "Multiple Places" value set to "No", which we have done.

Does this only apply to REGISTERED users? We allow unregistered users to book the events as well. However, we are seeing that a single person can book an event multiple times as an unregistered user. (I've hidden most of the name and email address, but they are all the same.)

Are there any validations that only one email address can book an event if the Max participants per booking to 1 on each event, and in the settings have the "Multiple Places" value set to "No"? Or is the only way around this to remove the ability to have unregistered users book an event? Or is this something that is handled in version 5.2.7?

Thank you for your help,
Steve

Hi Stephen,

yes this currently applies to registered users only. Not sure how useful an email check would be.. Everybody can create another mail account in seconds or just use the plus char with their current one.

Kind regards,
Yves

Thanks for the information/confirmation, Yves. Was more concerned about "accidental" multiple bookings rather than malicious multiple bookings. We had an email issue with the site and the unregistered attendees were not seeing their booking confirmation email, so several booked the event multiple times.
Will turn off the feature that allows unregistered users to book events.

Thanks for your help. It's a great extension and we've been very happy with it.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

okay added this to the todo-list. It is only one if clause checking if an email is already booked and preventing such issues.

Kind regards,
Yves
