TOPIC: Remove Free Event text

I am working my way through the component, how my client wants events to display. Since they are a tourism board and not the event holder, they do not want to have "free event" show when you mouse over an event shown on the calendar. How can I remove that?

Hey Pat,
The "Free event" text is automatically added when the event is free. (no price entered in the description).
If you don't want to enter a price and just want to hide the "free event" text everywhere on the page, maybe the easist way would be to make a language override for the string
COM_MATUKIO_FREE

This way wherever we output this string it would be empty. Would this work for you?

There is a more complicated way which would involve creating template overrides etc.

Thank you, Daniel. I've made the change in the language file. But how do I keep it from being overwritten when there is an update? Will I just have to keep up with it manually?

Hä, why did you change it in the language file. Joomla has a feature calles language override. Go to extension manager -> languages -> override. Create a new override for the "COM_MATUKIO_FREE" string and this shouldn't be overridden anymore.
