Hello,

I have just purchased this module and have a question.

I give the Registered user group the access to edit their own events, see who is attending etc... (when I create the event in the backend, I assign to a registered user). I see from the events list (when logged in as the registered user) the option to edit the event, view attendees, etc.... Is there a way to create a view that only shows the events the registered user is an owner of? I would like to have a Joomla menu item that take them to a page showing the events they have been assigned to be the organiser.

Apologies, if I have missed something completely obvious!

thanks Pete

Hi Pete,

which template are you using? Did you turn on the setting -> Edit all events (frontend) <- then everybody can view and edit everybodys event, else organizers can only edit their own.

And it's probably not a good idea to have them as registered users - create a user group under the author or editor.

There is always "My offers" so they can only view their own events (get parameter -> art=2)

Kind regards,

Yves

Hi Yves,

Thanks for the reply.

I am using a template called JSN Venture.

My offers works for me. What do you mean by 'get parameter -> art=2'?? Sorry if im missing something obvious!

Also is there a way to create a joomla menu item that takes users directly to the My offers view rather than going into the event list area and manually clicking my offers?

cheers Pete

Hi Pete,

i meant which Matukio template are you using (Matukio offers two: the modern and the bootstrap3 eventlist template - you set that in the joomla menu entry)?

You can't create a menu entry directly to the "My offers " view, but you can work around that by using an external URL which is pointing to the Matukio page and adding an parameter to the URL :-) (It's really easy - no programming / hacking, but i need to know which Matukio template you are using to show you how).

Cheers,

Yves

Hi Yves,

I'm using the Bootstrap template.

Thank you for your help on this. Just to add what a great product this is - it really is by far better than other Event apps for Joomla, especially when you look at the cost of ownership. I played around with both Ohanah and JomEvents before this. They just don't have the features you offer and didn't plan to add new features anytime soon. The fact that this post I have logged is the most serious issue I have had so far, shows the quality. I have no problem with subscribing. Once the custom fields come in your next release, I'll have all my requirements ticked!

Thanks Pete

Okay then create a joomla menu entry with the type -> System -> External URL. As link just insert:

yourdomain.com/index.php/events/ALIASEVE...T/2/10/1/0/0/0/0/1/0

Replace yourdomain.com (and if you like http through https) and replace the ALIASEVENTLIST through your eventlist alias (the url which shows up in the browser at the top when you navigate to the eventlist - you have set that in the menu entry for Matukio).

awesomescreenshot.com/070434o1ac

Example:

demo.compojoom.com/matukio/eventlist/2/10/1/0/0/0/0/1/0

Kind regards,

Yves

Hi Yves,

You kindly helped me out with this issue a little while ago and I now have a link that takes me direct to the My Offers view. The only minor thing I have noticed with this is that the page title is the same as the event list page. So, for example on my site which is for cycling events, the event list page is called 'Join a Cycling Event' and when I click the link to Manage a Cycling Event (which is the external url you suggested), the user sees the page title for 'Join a Cycling Event'. What I want it to say is the title of the menu item for manage a cycling event. Can you think of a way to do this?

cheers Pete.
