TOPIC: Email on new event

Hi All

When Matukio sends an email on new event i have tried using the MAT_BOOKING_USERNAME as the welcome in the template but it doesn't populate the field with the joomla user name.

"Hi MAT_BOOKING_USERNAME,
Just though I would let you know that a new event has been added to the Calendar. "

All that happens is it says Hi MAT_BOOKING_USERNAME, Am i doing something wrong or can we not personalise the email to registered users.

Hi Dave,

the MAT_BOOKING_ placeholders do not work on the new event email (how should they - there is no just no booking from where the information can come from - just a Joomla user).

You can use all event specific placeholders and the user specific ones:

MAT_USER_NAME
MAT_USER_EMAIL
MAT_USER_USERNAME
MAT_USER_ID

Sorry i thought MAT_BOOKING_USERNAME - The Joomla username (if any) would pull from the joomla User table.

Is it possible to have placeholders that can be used in the new event booking template as a feature request.

Which placeholders do you miss?

i have configured Matukio so only registered users can register for events and have enabled the email on new events feature. When a new event is created it is emailed to all joomla users and i would like to personalise the email with the "persons name" from the Joomla user table. I thought i had tried MAT_USER_USERNAME but thought it didn't work.
Please can you confirm if this is the case.

Okay there was a bug in the event notification code, fixed that now - the user placeholders are going to work with the next version
