Hi Yves,

I have a question regarding the SEF urls that are generated,
the current format now is www.example.com/events/catId-catName/eventId-eventName

Would it be possible to change the "events" to something else? For example the menu-name where it's under located?

For example:

www.example.com/myevents -> would give the eventlist overview
www.example.com/myevents/catId-catName/eventId-eventName -> would give the event-detail

hmm the normal event format is: JOOMLAMENUALIAS/event/80-demo-events/3-the-greatest-event/0

You can change the JOOMLAMENUALIAS to whatever you like in the Joomla menue entry for the Matukio eventlist - on the demo site it is for example Matukio.

www.example.com/myevents -> would give the eventlist overview

Just create (or edit yours) a menu item to eventlist view and change the Alias to myevents.

www.example.com/myevents/catId-catName/eventId-eventName -> would give the event-detail

This is not possible, because the view is missing in this case (event) - index.php?option=com_matukio&view=event&cid=80&id=3&art=0

www.example.com/myevents/event/catId-cat.../eventId-eventName/0

Thank you for the answer.
My problem right now is:

If I visit the eventlist on my test-website, the URL is:
mctestnew.de-wolff.eu/motor-evenementen.html

this is perfect. If I click on an event, it shows:

mctestnew.de-wolff.eu/ event/312-motorfeest/3-start-motorseizoen-2013/0

My problem is, that I want to change the "event" to "motor-evenementen", so the detail-url should look like:

mctestnew.de-wolff.eu/ motor-evenementen/312-motorfeest/3-start-motorseizoen-2013/0

Would that be possible?

You could perhaps use the Joomla url rewrite component.

mctestnew.de-wolff.eu/event/312-motorfeest/3-start-motorseizoen-2013/0

Event in this URL is the "alias" that you've set up in the menu manager for that url? 312-motorfeest is the category name - 3-start-motorseizoen is the event name.

Why not just change in "event" to whatever you need it to be in the menu item for Matukio?
menu manager -> your menu -> the menu item for matukio -> change the alias and save.

What you wrote is exactly what I expect about how it should work,
but, the alias for the menu is "motor-evenementen" and it is automaticly changed to "event".

Or, could it be caused because I'm using Sh404sef?

I turned-off sh404sef and now the event-url is:

mctestnew.de-wolff.eu/motor-evenementen/...st/1-openingsparty/0

which is perfect for me,
but now i have to figure out how to get these URLs with sh404sef turned on.

Hi there,

I tried different settings with Sh404Sef, but the only way, in order to get the correct URL is to turn it off. When I enable Sh404Sef and choose to skip matukio, the generated urls aren't correct. For now it's clear to me what caused this, maybe someday I'll write a sh404sef-plugin for it.
