Hello together,

we've been working hard in the last couple of weeks to get Matukio 2.2 ready. In this thread i want to keep you updated on the current status, because there are so many questions regarding time plans, planed features and fixes etc.

Estimated Timeplan:

Development release: Release candidate out now (Feedback appreciated!)
Stable release: April 2013

Planed features / changes:

- E-Mail Template System (for booking mails, organizers)
- Export Template System (for csv, participants lists etc., including possibility to create your own templates (maybe a bit later))
- Export of event lists not only participants
- New improved table less modern event list / my bookings / my offers and participants template (fitting to the modern event view)
- Improved and sophisticated layout settings for the event list templates
- Better form to contact the participants as a organizer
- Payment Plugins (to support more payment methods and to give you the ability to write your own)

- Changing the new fields data (new booking form) to JSON encoded format

- Improved button labels and tooltips
- Improved category management with better support for access levels, images etc.
- Improved event booking with more then one place at once (with the possibility to insert the others bookings data too)
- Better integration of Bootstrap

- Possibility to reset the Matukio settings
- Improved routing (to prevent 404, 500 errors when no link to eventlist overview is set)
- Google calendar integration (maybe)
- Help page with a better documentation and some Howto videos
- Mobile version / templates (basics more later)
- Improved Webinar support
- Nicer ticket generation (PDF files etc. / maybe)

- Organizer information pages (Probably)
- Improved Backend (fully MVC style - probably)
- 4 new Modules which should replace the old one (calendar, upcoming events, upcoming events slideshow, "small" booking form - maybe)
- Top and hot events (basics, more later)

- Add booking status (instead of deletion for example)
- Custom event fields for:
-- Booking mails (to overwrite the default one)
-- Certificate (to overwrite the default one)
- Possibility to show also already ended events
- Payment Details on the confirmation page (new booking form)

Hallo Yves,

ersteinmal ein frohes neues Jahr.

Jetzt meine Frage: Kann man eine bestehende Version ohne Probleme auf 2.2 Updaten?
Geht ja auch um die Optik?

Hi Sascha,

please only english in this thread.

Yes it will be possible to update to 2.2 without problems, the graphical ui changes should not be so drastic as long as you stick with the "old" views.

Maybe, depends on how much time i'll have today (polishing, translating, some documentations so you are not completely lost) - got most of the todo-list done (some small things are missing - around 80% is done - all you are mentioning is ready), enough for a first development release.

Small status update: The integration of the changes and new features is around 85 % done, a first development release will come in the next couple of days. I am ill at the moment (just a cold..), so i have not a 100% fixed date for you. I am going to post some screenshots and more informations too.

Some more new screenshots (All taken with default Joomla 2.5 template):

Eventlist:

docs.google.com/file/d/0B8fSCgI7Xbe8YU02RGZEQWpURzA/edit (Guest)
docs.google.com/file/d/0B8fSCgI7Xbe8N1ByTGpIaDc4Sk0/edit (as Organiser)

My Bookings:

docs.google.com/file/d/0B8fSCgI7Xbe8T1U3eXZkMnJDMWs/edit

My Offers:

docs.google.com/file/d/0B8fSCgI7Xbe8eWtFdnprNE9KVEU/edit

As you can see these three are now displayed in three tabs! (No single sites for each tab anymore)

Booking confirmations:

docs.google.com/file/d/0B8fSCgI7Xbe8bWYxdEdtUDBpLWM/edit

Many updates & improvments in the new booking form, e.g. the confirmation now contains the payment informations and the calculated total amount (Matukio now complies with the new german laws), JavaScript AGB checked validation, E-Mail validation and much more.

First development release is still right on schedule - should be out this week!

Hi,
we need the version 2.2 for our site. SInce we are planning the rollout at the moment, we need to have an idea about the release date of the Matukio 2.2 version. Optimal for us would be the 11.Mar

What will be the release date?

Hi Juergen,

depends on how much time we need to get it stable and tested. All the more feedback we get from the current development version the more faster it will be :)

Up to some details the Matukio 2.2 development version (you can download it in the developer area) is already feature complete.

Best regards,

Yves

Hey Michael,
If it is a test machine -> then uninstall version 2.1.10 that you currently have and then install the dev. version.

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Yves,

is it possible in Matukio 2.2 to use the Additional Bokking Fields in the EMail Template?

If yes, how does it work?

Thanks and Regards
Joachim

Hi Joachim,

aye that is possible, you just type MAT_BOOKING_YOURBOOKINGFIELDNAME in the editor and is going to be replaced through the bookings value, for example MAT_BOOKING_EMAIL is replaced through the bookings E-Mail address.

You could also use MAT_BOOKING_ALL_DETAILS_HTML which renders a nice HTML Table with all inserted values of the booking.

Best regards,

Yves

Hi Yves,

sorry I didn't mean the General Booking Fields, I ment the Fields, whitch I can use in the event discription, like 'Eingabefeld 1, Eingabefeld 2,...".

I nead it, because I want to send every field, seperated with an Semikolon, to copy all Bookingdatas by drag&drop in my Excel-Lists.

Best Regards
Joachim

Hi Joachim,

not 100% sure what you mean (you can write in German too, but please make a different thread). For Excel-Lists we also have a nice CSV export function ;)

Best regards,

Yves
