Since the documentation is missing for Matukio I have some questions...

1) What do you mean in the feature list by "Support for webinars!", I can't find anything in the app that lends itself to this vs. real world meetings.

2) How do I print out anything that has QR Codes on it? "Print & Export eventlists including Barcodes & QR-Codes" I see the selection in the config for it, but the only thing I can find to print is the button on the user pages which doesn't include that. Can't find any sort of Admin Page I would print for checking people in. Once I had the QR code, what would it link me to?

3) How do I change the Facebook Like button on an event to English Version?

4) How do I use the fact that people are wait listed? Where would I see that to easily communicate with them?

5) How do I make an event free? Once I put a $0.00 in the fees field it brings up the payment section.

6) Where is my ability to e-mail attendees and wait listed people for an event. Can't find it in the interface.

Hi Bryan,

1.) I hide that feature the select field in the backend in the last release, because it caused some layout issues on some installs, in the #__matukio table there is a bool field webinar if you set it to 1 for your event, then many things get optimized for webinars (no city, some advertisments for webinar etc.). With 2.2 there will be even more features for webinars (like upload recording etc.)

2.) The QR-Code's are right now used in the backend printing forms (for example in the participants list). You can use them for getting the booking details, setting a participant to paid etc.

3.) Hmm had copied the wrong one, just replace line 331 in components/com_matukio/views/event/tmpl/modern.php through your language code, will be fixed with the next version (normally we use the joomla system language)

4.) You see them on the participants list (backend or frontend, click on the number of bookings) and can then change their status to booked or you can contact all participants as a organizer by clicking contact.

5.) Just keep it empty or let it be 0, then the payment section will not show up

6.) See 4

Thank you so much for your prompt response on a weekend! :)

1) Do you have an ETA for 2.2, if it is close may just wait on that. Just FYI, not your problem of course, but Rocketheme's Metropolis theme causes havoc with that same event listing (nothing above the map section on details, missing "Lights" on the event for bookability, etc.

As a side note would you consider also having an option, or including in those webinar optimizations for a teleseminar that might have a call-in number and bridge code but not a URL? Outstanding news otherwise on the new stuff in 2.2

2) Found this thank you!

3) Assume this will also get fixed in 2.2? I have a little bit still before I go live on the site so I can just wait for it if it is not too far off since it is just cosmetic.

4) Can't find the contact button. Which screen and where is it? Am I just overlooking something obvious? I would have expected it on that booking screen where I could print the QR optimized list.

5) Just FYI, obviously easy to fix but if you put in 0.00 for free (USD Notation) it triggers the payment option on the booking (3rd screen). Blank and 0 don't. Might want to consider updating your code at some point to prevent confusion for us in the states.

Thank you again!!

1.) Depends on how much i get done during the holidays, ETA is releasing a first test version around new year. But we have a so big todo list that it take perhaps a week longer. Going to take a look at the rockettheme template, normally these issues can be fixed with a little CSS changes - you could turn off the map as well.

As a side note would you consider also having an option, or including in those webinar optimizations for a teleseminar that might have a call-in number and bridge code but not a URL? Outstanding news otherwise on the new stuff in 2.2

Okay put that on our Wishlist, but you can always achieve this with a language overwrite (replace URL with call-in etc.), not sure if this is going to make it into 2.2, because the todo list is already overfull.

3) Assume this will also get fixed in 2.2? I have a little bit still before I go live on the site so I can just wait for it if it is not too far off since it is just cosmetic.

Aye that will be fixed definitely in 2.2, if you are in a hurry i could send you the changes too (If you like you can add me also on Skype yves.hoppe)

4) This one awesomescreenshot.com/0fcquxsce (currently the text / form is a bit irritating, name and email are the senders ones) - going to update that too

5) Okay put that on my todo list, will be fixed with the next version too.

Thanks for your feedback and Merry Christmas,

Yves

Last question for now, I promise :-)

Merry Christmas by the way!

With regards to contact, I see that is a front end screen for the individual booking.

I was actually looking for a back end screen to contact the attendees in bulk. (all or selected). So if you needed to send out an update on the event, or e-mail all the wait listed people to tell them that 10 more spots opened up you could select them and send one e-mail.

I assume based on the screenshot you sent me that this type of functionality is not there yet?

If not I am sure it is on the wish list, but let me just add my request.

No worries on the timing on 2.2, I am probably at least 2 months from going live.

Thanks,

Bryan

The screenshot shows the frontend organizers screen (just login as a organizer for example super user in the frontend), in the backend the button is currently hidden (In 2.2 there will be a new menu item called participants where you can do the same). The contact button in the attendees list is exactly what you are looking for (contacting all participants of an event at once).
