TOPIC: Flexible pricing possible?

I'd like to tell you how glad I am that finally somebody steps up to the task of creating a decent event management component for Joomla, as most solutions out there seem to be either outdated, abandoned or just not up to the task. I hope that Matukio will grow to be the event component we all wish for

Having said that, I have a question regarding pricing options for fee-based event registration in Matukio.

From the demo, I get the impression that Matukio will only allow one single fee/cost parameter per event.

However, in event management it is very common to have a variety of different fees for an event, based on age, membership status or attendance time. For example, some events will be cheaper for minors, or seniors, or handicapped people. Other events will span over 3 days, and we would need to accomodate for 1-day attendancy fees as well as 3-day passes. Some events will have different fees for members and for guests.

Does Matukio currently allow anything like multiple fee types per event? Or is it a planned feature for coming releases?

we have this on our roadmap for one of the next releases - currently only one single fee is possible.

I agree to everything Sebastian said.

I would like to have a flexible fee system as well.
We would need it for some kind of "early bird" booking.

For example:
The Event will happen on 15.September
If booked 8 weeks in advance or earlier there will be a discount of 10 %.
If booked 4 weeks in advance or earlier there will be a discount of 5 %.
If booked 1 weeks before the event there will be no discount.

Event Pricing, Timeline for booking and the percentage of the discount should be configurable by parameters in the configuration tab.

That would be sooooo great.
