Can someone please look at my website area that I have Joomla!Comment installed. It seems to be working, however, when I try to post a comment on an article, it looks like it takes it, but then nothing happens. Almost happens, but then nothing. Can you check it out? You'll have to login to my test account to post a comment: USERNAME: Test PASSWORD: test

http://vmwusa.org/index.php/component/content/article/-.html

Thanks for the help!

Brandon

Everthing seems (as you say) to be correct.
But comments get abrupted under posting for some reason.

Just guessing, have you checked out the settings for Posting in the backend?

I checked...all looks fine, however, its the first time I've set this up so I'm a true novice...I've attached a screenshot that may be of some help. Thanks for attempting to help me figure it out.

<b>Fatal error</b>: Call to undefined method JDocumentRAW::addHeadLink() in <b>/home/vmwusa/public_html/plugins/system/rsd.php</b> on line <b>76</b><br />

Well you mentioned you are a novice so I suggest you do a little research on how to troubleshoot with Firebug.

This error is caused by Real Simple Discovery. I have updated the "System - RSD" plugin to be AJAX-compatible, the Joomla-installable ZIP file is attached.

plg_rsd_v1_4.zip

This is an update of the System - RSD plugin which has been abandoned, originally found at forge.joomla.org/gf/project/rsd/frs/

We seemed to get everything working, but now, the "Most Commented" setting does not take you back to the article when that setting is used. The link it tries to take you to is always

http://vmwusa.org/index.php/component/content/article/-.html

And as you can see, that gives you the 404 Error, saying "Article 0" is not found???

I'd actually like to use the Most Commented setting because it is more streamlined, but then it would also allow us to see which articles people are really enjoying...

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks again!

Hi all. I am a novice as well. I have installed the component on my mexicotoday.com.mx website to test it. It seems to be installed correctly. The only problem is when you go to the site and try to add your comment everything seems fine until you hit the send button. That's it...nothing happens...no error message...nothing in the back end...nada. But it looks good...

Any thoughts?

John, please open up a new thread instead of hijacking another - your problem is obviously different if you do not have RSD.

Can you elaborate Brandon? Did the updated RSD plugin actually change anything or did you not try it? Do you have sh404SEF?
