TOPIC: Security image can't load [Solved, permissions issue]

When a Guest want to comment on my site, the 'Security image' can't load and so he can't submit his/her comment.

How to solve it?

I have tried so. But previous related posts didn't provide enough solution for me and one of them seems corrupted that I can't go to the 1st page of the post: http://compojoom.com/index.php/forum.html?func=view&id=510&catid=10 .

for my comment box problem, I can see the text 'Security image'. But after I click it and reload it, it still display 'Security image'. And I have checked the folder components/com_comment/joscomment/captcha/, the 3 images is still there. Would you mind giving me some guidance for this?

Did you check the captcha's file permissions? They should be 644.
Are you getting some internal server error massage?
Why don't you give us a link to your web page?

Those file permisssions are all 666. So it may not be the cause.

In both my joomla 1.0 and 1.5 site, annoymous users can't see the security image and submit comment.

Ehi daniel I've the same problem, viewing the server error log i change 664 to 644 but now server give me the error that folder is com_comment is writeble from group so i change 775 to 755 but it give me thet component folder hase the same problem have I to change all folder from 775 to 755?

Well if the error log is complaining about it, then you should do it.

You can use fileZilla and change all folders in com_comment to 755 with one click.

ok thank you daniel problem solved I've to set up folder component and it's subfolder to 755 and everithyng work now

Farest, what is the error log saying? Do you get internal server error or what happens?

I have the same problem, no captcha image is loaded. I have set the captcha file (captcha.php) on 644 and the all joscomment folder on 755, but it doesn't work!
