I mean, comments are mainly aimed to the article that was posted, and not directed at the first comment. -Since the first comment is commenting the posted
Content Item.
A new thread, is a term used normally for Forums.
I know Fireboard had a truncation issue a while back (2008 I think), whereby quick replies were NOT truncated on default, leaving huge white fields on every post.
Hehe, but that was resolved super fast.
If you are looking for a commenting system for the Forums of Kunena/Fireboard, well that's tricky, and sounds like a job for Superman- or Daniel. Just, not exactly sure of the point of commenting system on a Forums though, as that works that way already.
But the question towards the end here says
when someone starts a new thread
which emplies either a
Forums, or a
Blog system is running.
If it is a
Blog, then it is just a case of making the
Comments for the
Blog, which could be a
Question or
Post etc.
Either way, a Comments system is not exactly designed to be a parent post in itself. At least I haven't seen one... A Comment isn't exactly the startpoint. It is difficult to make a comment about something that hasn't been said.
Is it just me that understands me?
I know what I mean, but not sure if it is understandable in what I have written...
