TOPIC: Error mesage after submitting the comment

I am very new to Joomla (2 weeks and have pretty much customized as per my need. I then installed !Joomlacomment. Install went fine. The module is also showing on pages but when I try to enter a test comment, I get an error message. Please see the attached file (error.jpg, 28.7kb).

Which joomla version are you using???

EDIT: Daniel beat me to it. Yes those JFactory errors suggest you have an old Joomla version or a badly configured install

What are you using as your localhost? Daniel and I both use XAMPP, every other type of localhost server pack is untested. XAMPP is the one recommended by the Joomla developers and it works 100%, so try using the latest version of that instead.

Also make sure you are using the latest Joomla 1.5.X and the latest JoomlaComment 4 Beta.

Is it OK for me to assume you are not silly to be using IE6 either..?

I am using XAMPP as localhost. Joomla version 1.5.0 and JoomlaComment 4.0 Beta2. Your comment, however, made me think that I purchased a template from youjoomla.com and the download came with full version of Joomla in it that overwrote my original Joomla install. Maybe that's the problem and if I install the newest Joomla version, maybe that problem will go away.

I am also using IE8 and Firefox 3.5.

Hope this helps in identifying the problem.

1.5.0 - that is old - try it minimum with the latest one
kidding - everything above 1.5.10 should work.

Daniel and Jonus.... you guys rock! After I posted my last message, I went ahead and installed 1.5.14 and voila! Everything is working now. Thank you so much for your quick help. Now I am going to play with the settings to customize it. Thank you again.
