TOPIC: How to disable comments for the frontpage

Hi,

I was trying to find out where the plugin is rendering the comments block in order to "disable" it for the frontpage.

I have managed to do this for other plugins which clearly use the onPrepareContent, but this plugin is pretty advanced for me and can't figure out which file I have to "hack".

Any ideas on what I am looking for?

There is no plugin at all for com_frontpage so I don't understand what you mean. I'll try and guess.

1) You have your default homepage not on the com_frontpage component, but rather a specific article. If so, add the appropriate article ID to the exclude list in the backend.

2) You want to turn off the 'Write Comment' link under 'Read More...' links. It's all in the backend, under the 'Layout' tab I think - right at the top.
