How do i control where the {readon}{/readon} block displays when the content item is rendered by joomla i.e. i want to achieve the following output:

STORY 1 TITLE
x comments | STORY 1 DATE

STORY 1 TEXT

STORY 2 TITLE
x comments | STORY 2 DATE

STORY 2 TEXT

etc

How can i achieve this?

Well, I've looked at beez template and to me it seems that with joomla 1.5 everything is possible,
for me the solution is css - I have no idea how much time you will need to get it right, but it is possible.
I recently read that book: http://www.amazon.com/Transcending-CSS-Design-Voices-Matter/dp/0321410971/ref=sr_1_15_s9_rk?ie=UTF8&s=books&s9r=8afea4c112e1793d0112ea24a54500ef&itemPosition=15&qid=1215090720&sr=8-15 and I realised the power of css - but it needs a lot of practice.

Sorry, if I'm not very helpfull, but the only solution for me is to play with your template to get it right.
Greetings!
Daniel

thanks, I'm currently looking at the option of overiding templates docs.joomla.org/Tutorial_talk:Template_overrides

Do you think in future in joomlacomment releases a parameter could be added that allows user to toggle wether the {readon} block is displayed before or after the article?

I'm not 100% sure how we add that link there right now. I was thinking that we rewrite the normal joomla read more link with !jc's one.

I believe overriding the template should work(tried it for few minutes with beez and it seems that you can get the read more to be on another place)

In a future release - I don't know - not really sure how it is working now - I must read a little code :)
