Hi

I'm trying to enable the links (url) in the comments, but it doesn' work, I set the option in contentsettings\security: Website URL only for registered to "no", and in the posting tab the url submission is set to " yes", but I don't see the url in de comments.
is this a bug? or am I doing something completely wrong?
I recommended your software to another person, and that person has the same problem.

kind regards
andreas

Website URL only for registered to "no"

This means that both Members and Anonymous users can enter a website in the 'Website' field when writing a comment. Setting to 'Yes' means the Website field will be hidden for Guests.

and in the posting tab the url submission is set to " yes", but I don't see the url in de comments.

This option doesn't exist... Are you using JoomlaComment3? It probably is a bug - update to the newest JC4 ;)

hi,

I'm using JoComment 4.0 beta2, I hope this is the right forum ;) , and on the posting tab the option is called
"Input website field".
I think the option that should do the trick is "Website URL only for registered " option, but as I already said, That doesn't work.
By the way, you woke op early this morning ;)

kind regards
andreas

OK so you have:
1) "Website URL only for registered" = No
2) "Input website field" = Yes
...correct? But, you still can't see the 'Website' textbox on your sites Comment form? Hmm... do you have a link so we can take a look at your page? All I can do is guess (and not very well mind you) if I cannot see anything :lol:

Haha oh no, I am all the way down in Sydney Australia! Right now it's 6:20pm :)

also notice the inputboxsize next to the email field while you're there ;) , can't find how to resize.

Aha! Now I see what you mean, the html icon is missing!

Yes, this is a mistake we made in the install process. We forgot to tell it to copy a certain file from the ZIP :laugh: damn beta software!

Fear not, I have already made a sticky thread on how to fix this by copying a file manually. It's all here - compojoom.com/forum/6-bug-report/7022-no-url-icon-shows-up :)

EDIT: Oh - about the selectbox being too big, yes that's a known bug. You will have to open your CSS file you are using and add this at the end:
#joomlacommentform .inputbox {
    width:110px;
}

"110px" is just an example, you'll have to play with that to find the right one ;)

well, thank you very much, I can see it now!
Maybe you can also tell in the sticky that they have to copy the html.png to their own template in media\myjosctemplates\

I must say, I just love the way you respond the forum, fast and accurate!

about the inputbox, I didn't know how to add the css property, Ifind css very complicated due to a lack of experience, but thanks again!

Nice catch. Done.

Well I just downloaded your black.css file and added it for you, it was only three lines and too 10 seconds :P I don't give everyone this special treatment, lucky you!

black.zip

Unzip that file and put it into this location:

www.beautygoddess.nl/media/myjosctemplat...modern/css/black.css

...rename the original to something like black.old though just incase I borked it :laugh:

EDIT: The correct width is 98px for your site, that makes it fit nicely. But the text in the select box might be a little long and it's hard to read. That is why it was so big I think, because it stretched to fit all the text. So maybe it's best to leave it, it's up to you.

The new templates comming soon won't have any problems like this ;)
