Why don't you read the readme file??? It says: PHP5 is required. Ask your hosting support to upgrade your php version and then it should start working. If you don't wish to upgrade look at the forum for another solution, but the best thing to do is to update.

go to your joomla's backend help->system info and look at the php version. Is it really telling 5? I can not believe that you are running php5.

you should probably put something in your .htaccess file to use php5 something like addhandler php5. Ask you hosting for this.
