I have been using the !joomlacomment app for a few weeks now and when users go to post they get an error that the post failed. I took three snapshots.
After the error and a page refresh the comment section has stuff in it but though there was an error the comment was posted.
If you want to try and see what it looks like post here shortn.me/c36 and I will just delete the comments after.

Be great if I can get this to work.

The post

The error

Then when I refresh the page what the comment area looks like.

www.php.net/fsockopen

For some reason fsockopen is not working on your site - ask your hosting provider for assistance.

What you can do right now is to disable akismet support in the backend. And then it should work.

Thanks, that worked.

Checked with my host provider and they said that having fsockopen running is a normal thing, so sounds like it's on.

Out of curiosity, do you have anything set on 'livesite' in your global Joomla configuration? Also verify your .htaccess restrictions/rules. If you have any Extensions that boost security, such as sh404SEF, try making their settings a little "less paranoid" just to test it.
