1. I have to click on "Write comment" to see that there are any comments and then add comments:
cbc.x10hosting.com/cbc/index.php?option=...=blog&id=9&Itemid=40

When the screen I want is this one:
cbc.x10hosting.com/cbc/index.php?option=...m&Itemid=40#JOSC_TOP

Any idea how to skip the first page?

2. Do I need to edit the CSS to get rid of the IP address being stored?

3. Do I need to edit the CSS to not have to enter a title for posting comments.

Thanks very much

To get rid of the IP?
Just disable it showing in the backend.

If you don#t want to enter title for posting comments -> look at the site's faq :)

P.S. and for the first image I get

Warning: include(/home/cbcadmin/public_html/cbc/components/com_content/views/category/tmpl/blog_item.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: Too many open files in system in /home/cbcadmin/public_html/cbc/libraries/joomla/application/component/view.php on line 564

Thanks - sorry for asking a question that was in the site FAQ - that's embarrassing! Thanks for replying so nicely!

I think I found a solution - I'd been trying other commenting options - I'm going to try and fix things this afternoon.

Is it because of your Question #1? I'm not too sure what you're asking, but do you want a page that displays an article, then the complete JoomlaComment view, then repeats forever for every article...??? Such a thing isn't possible... if another Comment system had this it'd be either very very slow or cost a lot of money probably, I don't know

I'd been trying others before I found this one - and while I disabled them, I hadn't deleted them. Not to worry - I'm a fan of this extension!! Big time! And I'm totally new to Joomla and have been a) impressed with the ease of installation and b) thrilled with the replies - just got a reply in another thread and once my son's having his nap, I'll attempt to make the fixes! :)

Aha, how exciting! Well believe it or not, four months ago I didn't even know what Joomla was! I do have skills in computing, but i've learnt so much about web design and languages in these past couple of months it's all very exciting and fresh to me still!

Although the truth is, there are actually many things I still don't know about Joomla. I feel bad when I see a new post on the forums here, and I have no idea what they are talking about! So I try to bumble in a "Daniel will be here soon" while making educated guesses and exploring a part of Joomla they are talking about - learning something new!

Sorry, I digress. I think my point was that it's pretty important to get more than familiar with everything Joomla can do as quickly as possible. Experiment with all the menu options like Blog Layout and Category View, and explore the many parameters (options) that each one has. I spent days just "playing" with Joomla and it really helped me :cheer:

P.S. When I first used Joomla, I actually had to re-install my entire website three times because I broke it the first two times, haha. Don't be afraid to tinker, as long as you remember how you did it and still have original articles and things, you will be safe :)
