TOPIC: Captcha image not displaying for registered users

Hi,

I'm currently running PHP v5.2.4-2ubuntu5.6 and MYSQL 5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.4 on my test site. I also have my directories set to 755.

My problem is that the CAPTCHA image is not being displayed for the user at the time of adding a comment.

I have read some of the other threads about this problem and installed the GD library for PHP v5 and then restarted Apache.

Any help is appreciated.

do you have the freetype library installed? Right click on the image->properties, copy the source url and paste in the browser, does it generate an internal server error? Check the error log for problems.

as I told you need both GD and freetype library.

right click on the Security image text -> properties -> copy the address and paste in the browser.

Actually the "security image" text is the alt tag of the image. We generate the captcha on the fly, but if you don't have GD and freetype it is impossible.
