TOPIC: Comment link not displaying

Hi,

I've just upgraded my test site to Joomla 1.5.11 and then installed 3.26 of this component - for the very first time.

My problem is that after configuring this components' back end to include ALL categories and sections and to allow ALL user types to post comments, the link to add a comment is not displayed for a test article that I created.

Any clues?

I've checked the parameters under the Layout section and still I can't get any link displayed so I can add comments.

Please check this.
Go to your menu button(menu->main menu or top menu..) Open it and look at the settings - try to turn on the read more button. Tell me if it works.

I selected Menu -> main menu -> The News, and under Parameters(component) the field Read More...link is set to show. I saved the menu settings.

I refreshed the front-end and still no link to add comments was displayed.

Ok, check again. I uninstalled and installed again. Now it seems to work.

Question: where can I check for installation problems?

Normally while installing joomla throws out the errors that happen during the installation. But sometimes the component installs without any error, but is not working.

Of course you can always check your server error log
