Hi,

First of all I'd like to say this is a great extension for Joomla. It was very easy to install even for a newbie like me. So thanks very much.

Very easy overall by 2 things are doing my head in (there we go!!)

- I'm unable to have the comments showing on the homepage.
Our site is www.groovalizacion.com and no problem to view the comments on this page. But we have the site in 4 different languages using joomfish and for exemple /fr/home.html is not showing the comments. Am I missing something in the include/exclude option?

-my second problem is the width of the post on a page. I've tried to change the width of the comments but can't find where to do it (I looked into layout, CSS, Html and this forum). I am using Akostyle template and Ja Purity for the site. Any idea?

Thanks in advance and I hope I don't sound too grumpy because I really like this component.

Arnaud

It is a long ago I used joomfish. So far I can remember when you was translating the menus you had the standard values - so you could choose - show read more, link title. Go to your translation and look for these things.

About the post width.
Are you trying to change the width of the comments or of the form?

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your superquick answer. I'll go and check joomfish.

What I am trying to change is the width of the comment. At the moment for some reason there's only 2 words max on each line of the comment. How can I make the comments wider?

Brilliant, It works just fine. Thanks a million.
I'm still fighting with Joomfish but I don't despair. I'll succeed in the end.

Can I ask you one more thing on this thread?

Is there any option to hide (or minimize) the input area and make it appear only when you want to write a comment...with something like a link or a small icon. Don't know if I'm being clear!!!

I meant the whole "write comment" area.

You can try another template such as SSlide-emotop, but don't forget to check the option to include the library if the slides are not working.

Cheers Daniel,

I hadn't seen there was a slide template. The SSlide-emotop is just what I need. Perfect.

I did change the Html though in order to show the commentmenu width at 75%. Worked fine. I tried the same with "write comment" but it's now overlapping the right handside of my page. I don't know how to fix it. And I did not save original Html either

Can you help????

no, no, no :)
You don't have to show the comment width at 75%
you just need an
<div style="clear:both"></div>

Hm, as I think would you install joomlacomment alpha3 - there are few bug fixes in the template you use and it should work with your site template perfectly :)

Hi Daniel,

Thanks very much. I've added the code to my template and it works perfect on Firefox Mozila.
However it is overlapping inserted pictures of articles on IE7. Any idea why's that?

You've placed the code on the wrong place.
Try it immediately before the div id="comment" or immediately after it.

Right now it generates error and firefox is smart enough to show the page correct, but that is not the case for IE :)

Hi Daniel,

Thanks very much for your help. I'll find a way to limit pictures in my articles so it looks ok in IE7 too.

This is a great component and a great support from your side.

Thanks again

Arnaud

Don't find a way to limit the pictures, just change the position of the div style="clear:both" and it should work.
Nice radio btw :)

Hi Daniel,

Glad you like the radio. Thanks for the nice comment.

I have tried to put the code <div style="clear:both"></div> right after div id="comment" but it's still the same problem. I put it after then nothing either.

At the moment it works with Firefox but not with IE7.
