Hi,

I recently downloaded the latest version of !JoomlaComment 3.26. Docman 1.4.0 and using Joomla 1.5. However being a complete newbie to all these (I can just about setup Joomla and add components is all) I have no idea how to link these two together. To give you a background on what I want to do:

1. I want to have registered users upload files in categories.
2. I want to have editors or another user level give comments and ratings to each file.
3. The public can see the files as well as the comments given to these files.

Hope this makes sense. I do not have a test url as I am only running it on my localhost. Thanks to all the help!:cheer:

about the first question - that is a matter of settings for docman.

About the second and the third.
Download the docman plugin from this post www.compojoom.com/forum.html?func=view&catid=9&id=1124

Upload the folder to adminsitartor/components/com_comment/plugin/

then open files and look at the comments. It is written what code should be placed in docman templates.
