TOPIC: no characters on security image

And next: I've got a problem. I enabled captcha on my site. It's cool, image is loading but there is no characters on it. However I can find it in database. I was searching this forum for an answer but I did not find anything about my problem (maybe I was not looking good ).
Would you help me?

captcha.php looks ok.

libraries like truefonts and gd are installed on my server.

Please look in your php info and find out if you have the freetype library.

Yes it is:

Permissions to files are OK too (755 are now and they was 644)

Hm, what means GD Version 2.0 or higher ???

The freetype version should be ok.

Can you look in the server error log?

Ok, so I checked on server witch GD is installed. And: it is like below:

gdbm-1.8.3-8.i686
gd-2.0.35-4.i686
php-gd-5.2.8-2.i686

And I've got nothing in joomla logs. To server logs I need to have permissions. So I will call to my administrator or I will catch him on jabber

Please upload this file to the server in components\com_comment\joscomment and then call it with yourdomain/components/com_comment/joscomment/test.php

it should show "testing..." test.zip

Hi, I'm sorry for late reply. But I'm starting with new company and I have no time for anything.
So.... I copied file from you, and it's not showing anything. I don't know what's going on. I thought that there is somethung wrong in apache configuration but it is not, only my vhost configuration, nothing more.
Naybe I will find something more in free time

I took the function in test.php from here fr2.php.net/imagettftext
so if it is not working you have problems with your GD and freetype library. That is the place to look for the problem.

Ok, thank you for your help Probably the cause of my problems is freetype-devel package, which is not installed on my server.
