Why do you want to turn this out. Imagine I'm registered on your web site with the user name admin. Then another one with the user name "hello" will have the possibility to post a comment using my user name. What do we do then?

Pretty much for anonymous comments. Alot of my readers want to make a comment but not have it lead back to them. Usually it works like this:
A story is put up about "company a". "company b" is "company a"'s direct competition. a staff memeber from "company b" wants to flame "company a" via the the comments with out it leading back to them.

My website is registered users only. So they cant log out to make an anonymous post. I have noticed since i change to this comment software 99% of the commenting has stop purely cos it there user name is displayed.

I ability of users using "alter ego" names isn't an issue with me. They can call them self's what they like, even if its some one else user name. They can debit that between them.

Is it possible to turn of the auto filled out name in the form?

thanks

Rob

Well, in Germany you will be held responsible for the comments flaming company a and b. And if it comes to court decision you have to show the IPs of the users which posted the comments.

Hope you have cleared the law problems. (the biggest anonymity one can have is when they post as anonymous.)

Here you can find the solution of your problem:
