TOPIC: No "read on" link with comment preview

Comments on my site (GenderVision.org) works great, except that when someone posts a longer comment, only a portion of it is displayed, with no link to read the rest of the post. And, adjusting the Preview length on the admin page doesn't affect the length of the preview.

Versions: Comment 3.20, Joomla 1.0.15

Thanks, Daniel, but I think I've checked every item in the Comments config panels, including Security, which is set to far greater length than is being displayed. I find the "Layout" settings descriptions quite unclear, but have tried various permutations of Layout settings, none of which affected the displayed comments in a visible way, nor made visible the expected "read more" link. So, it's probably accurate to say that the Layout parameters are not being enacted.

FWIW, I DO receive an email of the full post, whose latter portion is not visible online.

Ok, sorry. I somehow misunderstood your question. The problem is that you don't see the read more button, or the problem is that in the preview you don't see the whole comment?

The problem is that there is no "read more" button or link, so there is no way to read the entire comment.

The fact that I have no control over the length of the preview is also an issue, but a lesser one.

Why do you need a read more button if you can click on the comments in the preview and go to that comments?

There is no place anywhere within the frame of the comment where clicking delivers the user to the full comment. "Reply" and ""Quote" options are provided, but no other.

Oh man, why are you talking about preview lenght? The preview function is something else!
So, may I get super admin access to this site? I will say it again - under security overflow is an option comment length - it must say -1 and the comment can 100 000 characters long and it will be shown.
