I suspect too that it's the PHP version that causes the problem. I think I've heard about that somewhere.

Same problem here. I run a Joomla 1.0.x, PHP5/MySQL5.

With Firefox 3.0.2, the submit buttonn does not submit, but displays a kind of reload/refresh icon for a half second (icon with 2 arrows, something like that).

With IE7, hitting submit opens an error window with the text "Request failed" and it replaces the text in the body field with an error which seems to point at the SMF Forum (which I run in briged mode). Prolly the error is related to that. As the User/Login Component, I use CB (and have activated that in the JoomlaComment Config).

The message that is put into the body input field when hitting submit in IE:
<br />
<b>Warning</b>: require_once(../forum/SSI.php) [<a href='function.require-once'>function.require-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in <b><mydomain>/mambots/system/SMF_header_include.php</b> on line <b>67</b><br />
<br />
<b>Fatal error</b>: require_once() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required '../forum/SSI.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:..') in <b><mydomain>/mambots/system/SMF_header_include.php</b> on line <b>67</b><br />

When you disable the bridge, is it working then?

Unfortunately not, the symptoms stay the same.

I have actually no idea how to troubleshoot this, so I am hoping on you. :)

Hm, it is funny. The script here /forum/SSI.php can not finf the files. Can you tell us how the files in SSI.php are included?

And that is bridge from joomlahacks? Perhaps you can start a thread there too.

For the last week, the board has been unusually slow and for long periods during the day, it's impossible to even get the board to come up. It's only late at night US EST that it is possible to log on and post.
I am not having any trouble with other boards and websites, and I notice that the usual crew on this board don't seem to be posting either.
Is there a problem?

Hi I have the same problem.

I used jocomment 3.26 and I had no problem.

But without any explaination, it seems the submit bouton doesn t work any more.

I have made the update to joomla 1.5.9 this morning but I don't think the problem comes from this fact.
I suppose it was already like that before.

Could you please check it ?

Edit : argh : I just tested on an other template and it works ...
Could you please tell me how to make it works on my template ?

I suppose something is missing from your template. So you can try to start from an existing template and make it look like yours now.

The think is that the code of my index.php is quite simple ...
and I can't find the code (on other template) who could explain me that the submit button will work or not ...

I have added (as I read on the forum) the following lines :
<?php
defined( '_JEXEC' ) or die( 'Restricted access' );
?>

but it has changed nothing.

If somebody has an idea ?

EDIT : It is all the link who doesn't work (smiley are well shown but the link in the textarea doesn't work)

Is it a javascript code missing in index.php ?
