I am from Canada. And United States uses the same structure as here.
Some countries like Australia are using the same system. This should be something to configure inside the component in joomla (for future versions)

You can find all address formats here:
http://www.bitboost.com/ref/international-address-formats.html#Formats

Thank you for the link. I missed the irst tiem I read your post and I spent 30mins looking for information on that :)

That is crazy.... I thought of just offering an option to use American address type format or European one... But now looking at this I have no clue what to do :)

I'm updating the backend hotspot add view and I'm thinking of removing the option to link the hotspot to an article or sobi2 entry. What do you guys think about this?

Hi Daniel,

I never used those options, but it won't be a good idea for whoever is using them. Just wait for someone else opinion.

I am using the 'Short description' field to link the hotspots to my stuff. Can you increase the number of characters for that field? That's the only problem i have been dealing with lately.

Hey kurniawan,
Good. I spend few hours to actually improve this option. Now when you select the option to use sobi2 or an article to link to, the tinyMCE editor is disabled and you can delete the html in this field and save the id. This should solve a lot of problems with wrong links...

But in the future I want you to link only to hotspot content items :)

Just wanted to add, that hotspots 2.0 will need at least mootools 1.2 . So take the necessary steps to ensure that the mtupgrade plugin is loaded on your site guys!

Improvement is always good n welcome. I link to article instead of hotspot item because it's more flexible to stylize using content plugin.

Only because of the content plugins? What are you exactly trying to style? Perhaps give me some examples . It is a peace of cake to run the content plugins over the hotspot description... So if you convince me that it is necessary I'm going to do it :)

@Eliecer - I fixed this problem today: dev.compojoom.com/issues/194

So I guess the fix will also help with your address design.
There is a new option in the backend: userInterface and there are currently 2 options - European and American. If you select the American you get
street number + street name
City
zip
Country

If I find a way to fix this more intelligently in the future I will do it for sure. Up until then you guys in America should be happy :)
