I am using CMC - Mailchimp for Joomla! on my site. When someone signs up and the information goes to my mailchimp list, the first name shows as '59a795cd1b49b' rather than the first name.

I realized the first name showing as '59a795cd1b49b' is only for those that have a status of pending.

How can I fix this?

Thanks very much.

So in mailchimp you see this? 59a795cd1b49b
and once they confirm the subscirption it changes to the normal name?

Some people never confirm, so their first name stays as 59a795cd1b49b. Then when I send out a newsletter with "Hi (first name)" it's going to read as "Hi 59a795cd1b49b." Not ideal!

And I just noticed that one person is 'subscribed' and the number is still there as their name.

If people never confirm, mailchimp won't send a mail to them. That's why it is double opt-in

Yes, and their name is still added to the mailchimp list, so when I send out a newsletter, they will receive that newsletter even though they show as pending in CMC and their name will show in the newsletter as the number instead of their first name.
