Description of my issue:

1. What is the process to create a new template so I can make custom changes?
2. Where do I create the new template, since they reside in at least two places:
- /media/mod_tiles/templates
- /modules/mod_tiles/templates
- ??? My default template folder in /templates/html/???
3. Can I just copy an existing template to a new folder and rename it?
4. Are theire any configration files I have to modify? Any xmls files.
5. Assuming I've done evertything right above, how to I get the tiles module on the module manager page to see the new template?
6. Do I have to checking/ Flush cash, purcge expired cache?

Thanks,
John

Hey John,
Currently you are not able to create a new template (it's not that easy without hacking few core files). What I would advise is to just override an existing template and do your magic there.
For example you can use the default template and place your override in:
templates/html/mod_tiles/default.php

Now when joomla loads the module it will use the changed file in your template. With an update the changes will stay the same.
Is this okay?
If you go this way you won't have to modify any core files.

Regards,
Daniel
