  4.  Subscribe via email
Hi,

I believe it is a bug, otherwise correct me.
I have synchronized the lists and the subscribed users added correctly
But both cleaned and unsubscribed did not

Can you fix it?

Regards

Hey Ama,
Well, the problem comes from the fact that the Mailchimp API function that is grabbing the users from mailchimp is getting only the subscribed users & one needs to make separate requests for the cleaned and unsubscribed. (which we didn't do, because we thought that everything will be taken with the first request)

The webhooks on the other hand should be working and they should add the info on newly cleaned and unsubscribed users? that is not the case for you?

I'm also curious - why do you need the cleaned and unsubscribed users? What do you plan to do with them? I'm asking this, because not having them in the DB should not affect the way the module is behaving in the frontend -> we always request information from mailchimp when the user is trying to subscribe to the list. And mailchimp will always let us know if the user was unsubscribed etc.

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

We just need a "clean" List. That's simple. Why to keep them in our database? It is not legal to use them again.

And since we are very serious at the double opt-in why to keep the cleaned or unsubscribe users?
If someone wants to sign again he must follow all the procedure to accept his sign up.

Mailchimp gives the opportunity to delete the cleaned or unsubscribed one by one and I thought if your app was able to do it by selecting all.

Hey Ama,
I don't think that there is a point of deleting the users from the cleaned or unsubscribed list (mailchimp is not charging you for them anyway...)
Here a little more on the list management process:
http://kb.mailchimp.com/article/how-do-i-add-an-unsubscribed-address-back-to-my-list

But with that said - if mailchimp is having this information will also need to show it in the backend of our joomla site.
We'll try to fix this for the next update.

Regards,
Daniel
