The map-module links on the markers are even active after deactivating the setting in the module-config (see screenshot).

when clicking on the map-marker the next event on this location opens. this isn't very handy. a better target would be the info-bubble with the address of the location or the eventlist filtered on the location when more then one event is active on this location. we have this module on the location-list page. here a filter forward on the list beneath would be even better. this will be difficult i guess, since the module is independant of the page.
