Hi!
Thanks so much for this brilliant extension and for offering the option to get a light and free version.
I know that this is an old version, but in the latest version there is no emoticon in the core version anymore, but it is listed as available in the comparison table.

So, is it now a Professional feature only or there is something missing?
Some screenshots about it:

Did you start with the latest ccomment version, or did you do some updating? The free versions should allow you to use the default emoticons. I've now fixed that on your site. I think that if you don't play with the emoticons it should be fine :)
Please if you use our extensions be so kind and review them at JED

Hi!
Thanks for your prompt support! Well, I just installed, chosen an emoticon set and let it be. Then there were 2 updates, which I did by Joomla installation process.
I understand your input, don't get me wrong, please... but then, if I can't change the emoticons as desired, what is the point to have the option to do so!? Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, it is just a legit question.

Thanks again! Cheers. :)

I'll have to check why emoticons get reset when you save again. Looking at the code one shouldn't be able to turn them off in the free version, but one should be able to change the emoticon sets.

Oh, there must be a bug, then.
Just to let you know, I changed the Nested parameter form "yes" to "no", to confirm that it hides replies when set to "No" in the options and after saving the changes, it removed the emoticons again. So, you are right, there must be something when the form is saved that disables the emoticons, because I didn't touch it, the only thing that I changed was the Nested parameter.

Hi, Daniel!
I've tried the few latest updates but the emoticons issue continues. It would be nice to have this feature in the comments, people usually use it to express themselves better, as you already know for sure - so it is more than a feature, it is a basic tool.
Thanks for your time and support.
Kind Regards.
